One long sheet rather than tiers, finished in combed buttercream with a piped rope border in pale gold. Individual sheets of wafer paper are pinched at the base and flared open along both sides, with dried gypsophila in deep red, blush and white set between fine gilded stems. Two flavours in one cake — lemon blueberry, and raspberry with white chocolate — built for Irene and Philip's reception and assembled at the venue on the day.
